Biological Importance of Metal Complexes of Pyrimidine-2-Thione Research Paper

Biological Importance of Metal Complexes of Pyrimidine-2-Thione - Research Paper Example Mo205L2(H2O)2.H2O (1)preparation. (5cm3)Aqueous solution of (NH4)2(MoO4) which is 0.24g and 1.0mmol respectively is added to LH solution in 25cm3 of EtOH (Speziale, 1963). The resultant slurry is subjected to heat, and the resultant solution, orange in color, is refluxed for duration of 4hours (Harris & Bertolucci, 1989). In this time duration, orange precipitate is realized (Foster & Snyder, 1963). The solid is then collected through filtration, immediately thereafter washed in 2cm3 of ethanol and diethyl ether, and then dried through vacuo (Wells, 1984). The yield is 35%, based on metal (Podson & King, 1945). Capstone project Research Proposal Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words - 1

Capstone project - Research Proposal Example It is the mandate of all nurses who deals with such patients to ensure that their safety if prioritized. This proposal seeks to address this issue by making sure that it is mandatory for all practicing nurses who deal with such patients of stroke, to administer dysphagia tests immediately a patient is admitted in the hospital before giving them any food substances. For this project, I will use an evidence based model. For effective results, in this research, I have used the conduct and utilization of research in nursing model (CURN) since the model seeks to carry out a research which gives findings to s particular behavior which improves the patients’ health outcome. (Scmidt, 2014)Similarly, conducted over a period of two weeks, this research seeks to prove that Dysphagia screening saves lives of persons who suffer from stroke on admission to hospitals. Many stroke patients need critical attention. Ensuring their safety while they have been admitted is one of the nurses’ most important things. The manner in which stroke patients are handled on arriving at the hospitals needs to be addressed. Most of the nurses do not carry out dysphagia screening as recommended for all stroke patients in the AHA/ASA guidelines (Stephenie, 2013). Some nurses go to the point of giving these patient foods without having the swallowing tests done on them prior to this. According to the data collected from my experience, only 3 out of 4 patients go through the swallowing tests. This means that the safety of the remaining patients is not prioritized. For the reason that nurses fail to carry out this necessary test, an estimated 50,000 die every year due to aspiration pneumonia after stroke. Evidently, most of these deaths can therefore be avoided by carrying out this test. The problems with swallowing in these patients are associated with a higher mortality rate (Jeff, 2013). Moreover, technologies have evolved which enable the patients to be screened for dysphagia

I think my target audience is teenage boys and girls, male female college students, educators, homemakers, business owners, retired folk, hobbyists, collectors and basically anyone that has a need and desire to do something with the piles of loose photographs we all have laying around the house! I will directly market to pre-teen and teenage kids, college students and their faculty members, housewives and husbands, law enforcement, real estate, the entertainment industry, businesses and numerous other identified and yet to be identified markets! I have perceived there was a need to create something specific, simple, durable, easy to use, inexpensive, customizable and practical to display and store all the loose photographs I had laying around and the ones I saw elsewhere laying around, unseen, decomposing and being neglected. I had taped loose photographed to my wall on occasion in a sort of collage formation, but it looked kind of cheesy, so I felt I could create something cool to display and store them in! After a few years of random survey’s with various people from all walks of life, I found my perception to be correct, that there was indeed a genuine need for my invention, and it appeared there was a vast global market for it! Creating this product so it can be easily ordered, customized and received will be a bit of a challenge, but one that I believe is well worth taking. I am very passionate about my new product that will be distributed from my new company, â€Å"DoakUnlimited.llc†. So, it is my intention to solve the decades old question dilemma of what to do with all the millions and millions of loose photographs lying around in drawers, shoeboxes and elsewhere!

Roman And Greek Gods Essay -- essays research papers

Roman and Greek Gods It has been known that the Romans and the Greeks have had many interactions with each other, whether it would be due to trading or just plain traveling, the stories of their myths have crossed each other in one way or another. This is may be the reason why there are many similarities between Greek and Roman Mythology. Even though a Greek god or goddess may have a different name in Roman Mythology they still performed similar tasks and were worshiped for similar reasons. I will compare and contrast Greek gods with their Roman equivalences to see how similar they truly are to each other. Probably the most famous Greek god, Zeus, was the god of all gods. Born to Cronus and Rhea, he was the ruler of the sky, and had the power to create thunderstorms and lightning as well as earthquakes. As the story goes he overthrew his father, Cronus, and became the ruler of Mount Olympus to head the new line of Gods. Jupiter, also known as Jove, was very much like Zeus. He was the predominant power ho lder among the Roman Gods. According to Tripp, Jupiter is a â€Å"contraction of two words meaning ‘Heavenly Father.’†(Pg. 332) He ruled the sky, controlled all of the weather, and had thunderbolts as a weapon. Tripp also wrote â€Å"Jupiter’s cult and his general character were, however, well established in Italy before the Greek religion became influential there.† (Pg. 333) This implies that the idea of Zeus, Jupiter and Jove had very little influence on each other since they were created before the Greek myths and Roman myths had started to cross paths. Hera, the wife and sister of Zeus, was the goddess of marriage, childbirth, and the queen of the heavens. She gave birth to Ares, Hebe, and Eileithyia. She also gave birth to Hephaestus, but it has been believed that she bore him without the aid of Zeus. In Ovid’s Metamorphoses, she was extremely jealous of the affairs that her husband had and she often tormented or harmed Zeus’s mis tresses. Juno, the feminine version of Jupiter’s name, is Hera’s counterpart. Juno had many names that served for different purposes. As Juno Pronuba, she was goddess of marriage, as Juno Lucina, she was the goddess of childbirth, and as Juno Regina, she was the special counselor and protector of the Roman state. (Roman Mythological Characters, Juno) In Tripp, there was also a Juno Moneta that was governed finances. (Pg. 332) It seem... ...t Greek gods and Roman gods have many similarities. In the cases of Hermes, Mercury, Athena, and Minerva, they are so similar that they might as well be called the same name. With the comparisons of Hera, Ares, and their Roman counterparts, we can see that everything is the same except for their attitudes. Hera seems to be more of a mean goddess than Juno because humans actually offer praises to Juno and actually expect Juno to help her. Hera was too busy causing harm towards Zeus’ mistress. Ares was just the meaner and more aggressive version of Mars. Venus may as well have been Aphrodite because it was believed that her myths were borrowed from Aphrodite. Zeus and Jupiter were similar, but were written in different times, suggesting a heavy coincidence that the Greeks and the Romans were on the same page. Overall, Greek gods and Roman gods are indeed very similar. If they do have differences, they are always fairly petty and do not affect their general purpose within myt hology. The interactions between the Greeks and Romans have definitely tied each other’s myths together so close that a story from Greek mythology can easily be interchangeable with a story from Roman Mythology. Name: Lei Chen Course : ACCT 362W Prof: Kenneth Ryesky Esq. Date: 11/4/2010 Case Caption: United States v. Dentsply International, Inc. , Court: United States of Appeals, Third Circuit. Date: Argued September 21, 2004. February 24, 2005 Citation: 399 F. 3d 181 Facts: This is an antitrust case that the defendant- Dentsply international, Inc. , is one of a dozen manufactures of artificial teeth for dentures and other restorative device. Dentsply dominates the industry, his market share is greater than 75 percent and is about fifteen times larger than that of its next-closest competitor. The defendant use sells his teeth to dealers of dental products; then the dealers supply the teeth to dental laboratories, which fabricate dentures for sale to dentists. As the hundreds of dealer who compete with each other on the basis of price and service; some other manufactures sell their teeth directly to the laboratories basis of on the price and service; Dentsply prohibits its dealers from marketi ng competitor’s teeth unless they were selling the teeth before 1993. The plaintiff- the federal government files a suit in a federal district court against Dentsply, alleging, a violation of Section 2 of the Sherman Act.Issue: Was the defendant’s preventing its dealer from selling competitors’ products restraint of trade and harm the market? Was the defendant’s act violating of section 2 of the Sherman Act? Decision: Yes, the district court’s judgment was reversed and the case was remanded with directions to grant the government’s request for injunctive relief. Reason: The Section 2 of the Sherman Act – the relevant market in this case was the total sales of artificial teeth to laboratories and dealers combined. The defendant’s act preventing its dealer from selling other competitors’ product was designed to block competitive distribution points, and to prevent giving the customer a choice. It was a plan to maintain mono polistic power, which it is restraints on trade, harm the market. Opinion I agree with the court decision because Dentsply’s act was not allowing dealers to handle competitors’ teeth, and then there will be few choices in the market giving the customer to choice. Dentsply’s monopolistic power could set the teeth price what their want, which the harm the economy and the whole market.

One month later, they approached Massachusetts Bay, where know as Pilgrims. Our writers will create an original "An Important Family Holiday" essay for you Create order In the United States, it is an important family holiday. People often travel across the country to be with family members for the holiday. The Thanksgiving holiday is four-day weekend in the United States. Americans shops and markets are on sale Thursday and Friday. Thanksgiving is almost entirely celebrated at home. On the other hand, Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October. The festival was celebrated to thank the recovery of King Edward VII from a serious illness that is different from U.S. People celebrate Thanksgiving Day having parades, customary family feast and turkey. It is a time for sharing, loving. The behind the celebration is to being thankful for the past harvest and praying for the coming year. In Britain, the harvest festival starts when the wheat has been cut and the apples have been picked. The churches are decorated with flowers during the harvest time. Fruits, Vegetables, and a loaf of bread are also used to decorate the churches. Peoples believe that bringing a plough into the church for blessing will result into a plentiful harvesting during the next year. In Mongolia, harvest festival begins in October and most of kindergarten and middle school celebrate this day. They cook with many kind of vegetables that grown in our country. It is our little celebration of harvest festival. Nowadays, American who live in Mongolia usually celebrate thanksgiving and teach us what is it thanksgiving, what kind of foods must be in the dinner table. First time, in high school teacher who works in Peace Corps explained us thanksgiving and show us how they celebrate this holiday. This is all my experiences about thanksgiving. And it is the same as harvest festival for other countries.
